About Me
I’ll never run out of opportunities to have a compelling conversation as a writer, reporter and interviewer – it’s my favorite part of the process. I believe sincere, empathetic conversations and mindful research create the best experiences which in turn lead to great stories, and I work to embody those ideals.
My reporting focuses on music, pop culture and niche things that make life a little more interesting. As an associate editor at DePaul’s online magazine, 14 East, I crafted music profiles, reported features and podcasts along with opinion pieces and reviews for its weekly newsletter, In the Loop. I’ve also had reviews, listicles and features on the music industry published in the online music platform Glasse Factory.
The joy of learning about up-and-coming artists in Chicago like Femi Ishola and diving into the latest releases from artists like Kendrick Lamar or Lizzy McAlpine isn’t enough for me. I want to cover their stories because life is more interesting when the voices of creatives are uplifted, and I am looking to help those stories get told in a way that is genuine and personal.
